Carol Bialek Obituary

Carol Mae  (Constant) Bialek, also known to those who knew and loved her as “Mae”, “Mom” and “Grandmom”, passed away peacefully, with her daughter, Jennifer, at her side, on November 21, 2020 at her home after a lengthy illness.

Carol was born on February 3, 1940 in Baltimore, Maryland to Nicholas and Anna Constant.  She graduated from Arundel High School and began working at Nevamar Corporation in Odenton, Maryland. It was at here that she would meet her future husband, Ronald R. Bialek, Sr.  They were married on March 19th, 1960 and lived in both Severn and Salisbury, Maryland until Ronald’s death in 2013. She worked as a Book Keeper at several area small businesses and served as a Financial Secretary for the Anne Arundel County Public School system, retiring in 2002.  Carol was a proud and loving Mother to son Ronald R. (“Buz”) Bialek, Jr., who preceded her in death in January of this year and daughter, Jennifer Carmen of Laurel, Maryland.  She was also preceded in death by her sister, Gloria Griffin and brother, Nicholas B. Constant.

In addition to Jennifer, Carol is survived by son in law Fred Carmen, Jr. of Laurel, and three adoring grandchildren, Lindsey Carmen of Oxford, Pennsylvania, David Carmen of Germantown, Maryland and Tyler Carmen of Hanover, Maryland, her dearly loved sisters in law, Doris Bialek and Charlotte Constant as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Due to COVID-19 travel and gathering restrictions, a Memorial Service will be planned at a later date for family and friends to gather and honor Carol’s life.  In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Carol Bialek.
